A very rare Tiffany gold Favrile cologne bottle with green leaf and vine decoration. The bottle is in excellent condition and is 4 1/4 inches tall with the stopper and is 3 1/8 inches tall without the stopper. The diameter tapers from 1 7/8 inches in diameter at the shoulder to 1 5/8 inches at the base. The underside of the bottle is signed "4908G LC Tiffany Favrile" and the bottom of the stopper is marked "4908 G." The number indicates a manufacturing date of 1912 This bottle is illustrated in a sketch in Leslie Nash's scrapbook shown on page 221 of "Behind the Scenes of . Glassmaking, The Nash Notebooks."
