A spectacular organic form by Tsugiura Yasuyoshi enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Tsubaki to Kameleon . A wonderful work to represent this artists unique style.

Yasuyoshi was born in Tokyo in 1949, after graduating from Tokyo National University of Fine Art and Music open his kiln in Kangawa at the age of 35.He won the Grand Prize at the First Annual Paramita Museum Ceramic Art Exhibition,won the Gold Prize at Japan Ceramics Society Award among many others. Work by him is held in Museums in Japan and throughout the world, including the Musée Tomo in Tokyo,the Museum of Fine Arts in Gifu,Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.
