Form and void are everything with Wada Akira, and this piece is a fine example of that idea. Akira uses no decoration, no overt gestures to get our attention, but relies on simplicity and elegant shapes covered in his pure white glazes. This comes in the original signed wooden box titled Hakuji Chaire.

Wada Akira b.1978,has become certainly one of the most well known names for his mastery in Hakuji glaze. His work are so popular that they are sold out before openinig the doors in any galleries here in Japan and arond the world. He has largely displayed and prized, he was most recently awarded the Kikuchi Biennale Gold Award in 2017.
