Shizen-yu ash glaze and deposits crust the surface of this spectacular Shigaraki Tsubo by Otani Shiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Shigaraki Yohen Tsubo . Never redundant, the Shigaraki clay bursts colorful under the intense flame. Tea drops of green glass wrap liquid about the body, exposing the red burnt clay and shell forms left where it sat on its side in the kiln. An excellent example of this important artist work
