A prime example combines the rough Shigaraki clay with the natural and beautiful markings from the Angama kiln by Kohara Yasuhiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled understatedly Chawan. The title is the only thing simple about this complex combination of contemporary clay, while boldly reflecting the tradition and spirit of old Shigaraki ware. A simply stunning work by artist.
