Mixed stoneware clay, unique curved lines, movement, form, pattern and warm textures of nature are a clear influence of his works on this Sake set by Izumita Yukiya enclosed in their original signed wooden boxes titled Katakuchi and Sekisoh Guinomi.

Yukiya was born in 1966 in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture . In1995 opened is own workshop. His list of exhibitions and awards is too long to print, but include the grand prize at the Asahi Ceramic Exhibition in 2000 and 2002, the Excellence Award at the 20th Biennial Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition in 2009. He has displayed in both Europe and America and is held in the permanent collection of the Yale University Art Gallery, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art among others.
