Here are two especial sculptural Shino shell forms by Goto Hideki enclosed in their original signed wooden boxes and date to 2019.
Size, Katakuchi D 13.4 cm x 20.7 cm H 11.2 cm
Condition, Excellent
Goto was born in 1973 in Miyazaki in Kyushu and graduated from the Tajimi Technical High School. He has exhibited at many of Japans top galleries as well in the National Traditional Crafts Exhibition. Work by him is held in the Phoenix Art Museum, Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum,Mino City Museum among others. His work emphasizes not only traditional themes but also given it a sculptural power that never seen before in Shino.
