Superb organic form displaying dark and awe inspiring, it shows to dramatic effect the path of flame in the kiln through the streaks of crusted ash and hi-iro on the sides interspersed with Shiso-iro gray-purple clay, and it might take eight hands to hold this masterpiece.

A graduate of the prestigious Meiji University Agricultural Department, Harada Shuroko began to work with clay in 1969.
