This rare juglet type is typical of the form that was popular in Judea during the Iron Age II Period (circa 1000 - 586 B.C.). Nice design and beautiful coloring. This jug measures 3.5" tall. For comparable, see Ruth Amiran "Ancient Pottery of the Holy Land", (#262-264). Condition: Pristine, choice and intact with good adhesions and evidence of age remaining.
