The size of Kogai with Metal end: 5 7/16" Long, The size of Lacquer Kogai: 5 1/4" L x 5/8" W. Metal ends Kogai, Hair pin made by buffalo bone I think. It is removable as photo showing. Each end has Kinbari(gld filled) finish. It has "Kinbari" marking on each end as last photo showing. Kinbari(gold filled) is heavier than Kin-mekki(gold plated). Other is lacquer finish over some king bone. It is pretty light but not plastic. The condition of metal ends Kogai is excellent condition. The condition of Lacquer Kogai has little wear spots. The one end show little inside material spot. Dating lacuqer Kogai from Taisho. Metal ends Kogai from early Showa. Priced for the 2 pcs. Please note lacquer Kogai does not open and it does not have pulling parts.
