The size of Scroll Painting: 73â€Long x 20 3/4" Wide, "with Jiku end 23 1/8†Wide. Image area size: 39 7/8†Long x 15 3/4†Wide. This is beautiful Japanese Scroll painting on silk background with nice brocade border. It has Aka Fuji (red Fuji mountain) with Cranes and Sansui (landscape) design. Aka Fuji(red Fuji mountain) is very rare to see in Japan. It is often used for subject of Japanese painting most famous one Wood block print by Hokusai. It is also good luck symbol in Japan. Very handsome scroll painting. The artist name is Sugihara Ransetsu. Ransetsu beautifully captured the atmosphere of misty sky and foggy feeling surrounding the forest and sky. Beautiful composition painting. It came with double box, one with Kiriwood(paulownia) box other with brown paper build box to store Kiriwood box. Last photo showing Title: Aka Fuji Artist: Sugihara Ransetsu. The scroll has Ransetsu signature lower right side. Kiriwood Tomobako has “Aka Fuji†writing on the top of cover. Inside cover has the signature of Ransetsu with his chop seal. The condition of scroll excellent. No stain, no worm hole, and no tear. Dating scroll from 1970-80’s. regular price was $450.00.
