The size of Guinomi: 2 3/4” Dia x 1 3/4” High. This Guinomi (large sake cup) is made by Watanabe Isshin. It has Haiyu (ash glaze). It is attractive Guinomi. It came with Tomobako. The cover said in Japanese, “Guinomi”, signed by “Isshin” with his chop seal. Guinomi has also Toin(his marking) as red circled. The condition of Guinomi excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. It came with biography of artist.

Watanabe Isshin (1922- ).
Born in Miyagi Prefectue, Furukawa City. In 1948, he became the student of Kato Hajime. In 1956, He followed Kitaoji Rosanji, Matsushima Hiroaki. In 1960, he opened Gechu Yazaburo Kiln and became independent. In 1962, he built Shikoyo(kiln). In, 1964, he became regular member of Nippon Kougeikai (Japan Art and Craft member). In 1971, he had one man show at Osaka Mitsukoshi Department. In 1974, he had a one man show at Seibu Department store. In 1976, he had a one man show at Deibu Department store.. He has been selected as many times for Japan Art and Craft show. He has entered Kanagawa Ceramic exhibition, as well as many other one man show. Dating the cup 1976's.
