The size of Vase: 9 1/4” High x 4 1/8” Dia Widest, 3 5/16” Bottom Dia. (23.5 cm H x 10.5 cm widest). This is very fine Japanese Kinuta Seiji Porcelain Vase with Dragon ears. The vase was made very finely. The condition of Vase excellent, no chip, no crack and no hairline. Very little wear. One minor scratch on one side vase. It came with new awasebako(store box) and cloth(no chop seal). Both are new one. It have the embossed seal of Sozan 2nd. It is rare to find this size Kinuta Seiji Vase Dating the vase 1930’s.

Suwa Sozan 2nd(1890-1977)
e was born in Meiji 23rd, 1890 at Kanazawa, Ishikawa-pref. Her real name was Torako. She was second daughter of 1st Sozan's younger brother. As she was a child, she was adopted as the daughter of 1st Sozan. She received potting techiniques from 1st Sozan. She became 2nd Suwa Sozan in Taisho 11th, 1922. In Taisho 13th, 1924, she received Silver Medal for her work of "Shukeiji Sonshiki Kabin"(Ceradon Son style flower). Since then she received many prizes at the different exhibition. Her works were bought up by Prince Hirohito, Kuninomiya Imperial family. In Showa 35th, 1960, she adopted the second son of her brother, Yonezawa Soho as the son. In Showa 45th, 1970, she turned over Suwa Sozan name to him. He became 3rd, Suwa Sozan. In Showa 52, 1977, she passed away at the age of 86.
