A socketed bronze Javelin, Eastern Caspian Sea region, dating to 1st mill BC.
A fine late socketed Javelin for throwing, Assyrian-Achaemenid period. Attractive javelin with rounded shoulders and a defined central midrib. The socket about two thirds of the total lenght of c. 17 cm.
Condition: Very fine. Beautiful reddish patina.
Ex. Private Collection in Denmark, formed in the 1990's.
