A beautiful dagger with a nice dark brown patina, Early Daggertime, c. 2200 BC.
The dagger with several old tags and a finding date given as 'November 1939 - found in Vemmelev!
Size: 16,5 cm.
Condition: Nice VF, basically intact with tiny ancient nicks from use under deep patina.
Provenance: Collection of Castle Gardener Peder Søren Petersen (1882–1964). Mainly found between WWI and WWII at Sværdborg mose (eng. marsh) and Køng mose at Southern Zealand and on Fyen. Many pieces with individual tags and the collection was checked by the Danish National Museum and they took out a number of items for the museum.
This item comes with a standard export license, when shipped outside Denmark. The license will be issued after sale - estimated delivery of the item with official license is 2-4 weeks after the sale.
