An illusive macehead designed to swing at the end of a chain attached to a pole, the socalled Morgen Stern or morning star in bronze, Viking / Early Medieval, likely Norse / Baltic area, ca. 8TH.-9TH. century AD.

A choice larger polished thickbutted Danish Neolithic axe dating c. 3000-2500 BC.

Extremely large impressive danish neolithic flint axe, dating to the Time of the great Burial Mounts, c. 3.200-2.800 B.C.

The type is called the 'Valby-axe', but was found near Falster, hence the typical grey 'Danien' Silex from the this area. The axe measure nearly 30 cm. and is extremely impressive and heavy. The axe is unpolished with visible seams and cuts from the making, a thick complete neck and a wonderfull intact edge.

Two sided / pointed neck type and also with a concave bit, made in the later 3rd. millenium as a sort of revival of a muck older type made in the early 4th millenium BC.

The axe is exceptional, very elegant, fully symethric and polished on all sides. Done is a beautiful now greyish patinated Silex.
