A very beautifully carved and polished stamp seal, Syro-Levantine, c. 1st. millenium BC.

A very elaborately carved seal with a tall handle, carved in a cream stone, very glossy! The seal is carved with a depiction of a large bird attacking a smaller animal, perhaps a sheep. Highly unusual.

Size: 20 mm. tall.

Condition: Extremely Fine, uncleaned red dessert sand deposits in the devices.

A high quality and massive Mesopotamian cylinder seal carved in dark serpentine stone, North-West Mesopotamia, c. 18th.-16th. century BC.

The seal is profusely engraved with a complex depiction of deities and animals. A central godess is sort of flying with her hands touching two creatures above. A worshipper in front with hands raised. Aray of animals and smaller figures including a Centaur below.

Size: 44-45 mm. tall. and 15 mm. wide.

A nice wearable solid silver ring with monogram, Byzantine Empire, c. 700-900 AD.

Ring size: c. 19 mm. and round, weighing 5,68 grams. Solid silver.

Elaborate Roman silver ring, 1st.-3rd. cent. AD.

The ring is moulded with a large female bust on the top. She is either a deity or a high-born lady, with a tall draped hairdress and diadem.

Size: about 25 mm. wide. 9.60 grams. The ring-size is c. 19 mm.

Condition: Nice Very fine and intact. stable and Wearable. The surface with corrosion and brown deposits.

Another substantial Roman silver seal ring with a red carnelian intaglio, 1st.-3rd. cent AD

The ring a typical compressed Roman design and the carnelian stone engraved with a depiction of the Dioskouroi.

Size: c. 24 mm. wide and weighing 8.1 grams. The ring-size is c. 19 mm. x 16 mm., so it fits the typical ring-finger of a smaller male or a female hand.

An attractive large Roman seal or signet ring, engraved intaglo in the silver of an amphora. The ring isself a typical male upper class silver ring, heavy and with high shoulders decorated with V-sections. The amphora is engraved into a seal on a stepped rectangular podium

Size: c. 27 mm tall and weighing 12,11 grams. The ring-size is c. 20 mm. by 20 mm., so average to larger male ring-finger size.

Interesting and very attractive large Roman seal or signet ring, with a green Jasper intaglio, depicting a Galley / trireme. The ring isself a typical male upper class silver ring, very heavy and with the high shoulders decorated with scroll.

The Jasper stone very nicely engraved with details of the man at the rudder. This ring could have belonged to an important man in the fleet.

An interesting selection of sea-life in the early period, from c. Devonian period 400 mio. years ago or somewhat later, all now of stone and stable.

Large Devonian trilobit, 6,6 cm. and 55.38 grams! An even larger snail like creature in a beautiful mother of pearlish house, measuring 6,3 vm. wide and 5,3 cm tall. Mounted on a lucite base, c. 130 grams! A large fragmentary snail-house (59,67 grams), and three good looking smaller snails as a well as a clamp / muzzle. Interesting lot...

A larger and very refined La Tolita head. He wears a giant nosering and a cap, in hard burnt stoneware.

A lovely silver mounted powder flask in fine silver, Persian, c. 18th.-19th. century.

The pear-shaped flask very elegant and set with silver rosettes and large silver mounts, complete incl. chain to the stopper.

A set of 4 very old and nicely patinated European Powderhorns, made of flat-pressed cowhorns, leather and wood, all can be dated around 1700-1762.

One horn is particularly interesting, with the upperpart carved as an animals mouth, with an engraving of a deer and inscribed and dated 1706!
Another horn is dated and initialized to 1762, but is probably an earlier horn with a 1762 dating.

Size: 16-18 cm. in lenght.

A nice terracotta head of Bes, fragmentary and corroded, but substantial and with fine classic features, Egyptian, Late-Roman Period, 500-100 AD. Comes attached to the original German gift letter from the 1920s-1930s.

A carved and decorated Nigerian mother with child on her back, early 20th. century.

Artful style depicting a mother in a kneeling position, holding an offering bowl, with her child strapped on her back. The image, on a rounded base, is carved from a single piece of light wood. Interesting set of miniature work axes and amulets , c. 3rd. mill. BC.-1st. mill. AD.

The centerpiece is a mounted Roman or Darkage axe amulet (400-800 AD), here mounted to a wonderful modern repro of an ancient axe-shaft. It also cludes a European celt in bronze and Near Eastern axe amulets in Carnelian.

Size. The shaft of the silver axe is 41 mm. tall and 21 mm. wide for the amulet.

A nice set of three lovely laquered and stamped silver bar coins, Thailand, c. 16th.-17th. cent. and a Laotian 'Canoe' money bar in silver-bronze, c. 1707-1889 AD.

The Laos Canoe money weighs 113.5 grams and the three Thai silver coins, 58.48 gr., 49,34 gr. and 65.31 gr., so it's probably same issue but different dating, in the 16th.-17th. century.
