Superb Amphoriskos (“little amphora”), that dates from the years of the early Roman Empire, 1st. century AD.

Like much glassware of the Roman period, the style imitates Greek pottery forms, in this case the Amphora. The vessel is formed out of a pale blue-green translucent glass. The wide rim or lip is rounded and smooth, the short neck tapering downwards and leading smoothly into a wide, apple shaped body and concave base.
