Large and rare Tukatha figurine of Mother breastfeeding her child, Thailand, Sukhothai, 15th.-16th. century AD.

Finely detailed glazed pottery figure. In Thai custom, such figurines were used in ceremonies connected with rain and fertility, see Guérin & van Oenen 2005: 263, plate 386.

A scarce and superb figure, large for the type. Usually the head of this type of figure were broken off ritually and re-attached. This figure is intact, which makes it rare.

Sawankhalok, Sukhothai pottery figure of a frog dating to, 15th-16th cent!

The frog is standing on all four legs in a characteristic position.

Very nice two-color celadon glaze in green and blue.

Size: ca. 8 cm long. (3,14 inches).

Condition: Nearly superb. Hairline cracks on the back and the belly appear to be from the firing. They are not repairs.

An Etruscan design of genucilia (what Romans called patera), often seen in Etruscan and Roman paintings used for offerings to the gods, dating 4th. century BC.

This type of plate had great fortune in Etruria in the 4th Century B.C. that produced them in large quantities and exported them throughout the Mediterranean basin.
