An unsually large stone cylinder seal, carved in a glossy black green stone, Middle Assyrian period, c. 14th.-11th. cent. BC.

This cylinder is seal 48 mm. tall and c. 15 mm. thick - a seal that gives a huge imprint when rolled on clay. The seal showing an archer fighting a winged griffin. The archer is probably the Great King and he is kneeling shooting his bow into the face of the Griffin, which is lifting it's left paw...

Attractive and substantial cylinder showing horned animals protected by hero against attacking lion. Mesopotamia, Early dynastic, 3rd. millenium BC.

Height: 3 cm, diameter 1,7cm.

Condition: Very fine, intact with typical light wear for material.

A very thick and massive gold ring with clasping right hands, Roman Imperial Period, 2nd - 3rd century AD.

Typical high shoulders and compressed design. 22+ carats gold.

The depiction of the dextrarum iunctio (handclasp) was highly popular in Roman art. In the Roman world, the right hand was sacred to Fides,the deity of fidelity...

An interesting example of a hand painted Egyptian carved kneeling boatman from a funerary boat model, wearing a black cropped wig, red painted kilt, black facial features and a white painted body.

During this period; the wealthy Egyptian landowners and nobles would have groups of “Servant Models” representing different activities of daily life (boatman in a funerary boat being the most common of all) buried with them in their tombs.

A beautiful stamp seal in the form of a reclining cow, carved in a glossy hard white stone with extreme polishing, Jemdet Nasr, 3300-2900 BC.

The stamp is carved on the sealing surface with two globules. Interesting very small seal, incredibly nicely carved in such a small size!

Length c. 10 mm. wide.

Condition: Extremely fine for type and age.

Provenance: The Karl Müller collection, Germany 1950-1977. Comes with COA and hard imprint.

A very attractive large Udjat eye amulet, Egyptian, and probably Late period, mid 1st. millenium BC.

The amulet is vcarved in a hard Diorite stone, very beautiful in hand.

Size: 26-27 mm. wide and very thick.

Condition: Choice and as made, the drill went wrong, visible at the back so the artist drilled another hole just beside the first one.

An Anatolian Marble stone Idol of a lovely 'female' form, Kusura-Beycesultan Type, Early Bronze Age II, Circa 2700-2300 B.C.

The particular shape of this fertility idol is also called a 'Violin-shape', carved as it is in a nice white marble.

Size: c. 5 cm. tall.

Condition: Near Extremely fine and perfect, with much adhired sandy pockets, that can be cleaned if so desired.

An interesting and well-engraved seal ring made of an alloy of bronze and silver end probably once gilt, Sasanian, c. 4th.-5th. century AD.

The ring engraved with a very nice enface portrait of a Sasanian king. Cleaned but retaining some patina. The ring has a closed hairline crack at the back, othervise intact.

Size: The ring is c. 25 mm. wide.

A lovely large amulet carved as a mythical beast in white calcite, drilled for inlay to the eyes and with a drill through the body for mounting it on a string. Mesopotamia, Uruk-Jemdet Nasr, 3300-2900 BC.

Finely shaped archaic beast. With old collection mark at the back.

Condition: Nice Very fine, intact with slightly rough surfaces.

An exceptional, unusually elaborate pottery figure of a female Courtisan, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to c. 1550-1600 AD.

Attractive lady, seen in motion, taking a step forward and clad in a large thick robe, draped halfway down, exposing her beautiful white skin. Imposing hairdress with roses and she is wearing a necklace. She holds a large incense burner, standing on a square plint. She is glazed in torquise and dark blue colours.

Nicely painted facial details...

An adorable pottery model of a sheep, in the Sancai orange and green colours. With fine grazing and patina, dating to c. 1500-1550 AD.

Size: 13,5 cm. long and c. 12 cm. tall.

Condition: Extremely fine for type and age, with uncleaned deposits of dirt. Finely preserved glaze with a nice gloss.

A very beautiful tall figural alabastron in form of Kore, Eastern Greek, Middle of the 6th century BC.

The portrait is in the tradition of the Kore representations, here as a young elegant woman holding a bird in her left hand, red-brown terracotta.

Height: 18,2cm.

Condition: Good Very fine, completely intact with very minor wear and deposits.

A choice set of two farm animals as tomb pottery in the Sancai green and orange colours, dating to c. 1500-1550 AD.

Size: Bull, 12 cm. long and 10 cm. tall and Horse c. 14 cm. long and 12,5 cm...

A nice bronze figure of the crucified Christ, European, European, Late renaissance, c. 16th century AD.

Christ is represented with a crown of thorns and his head bent slightly to the right. With long hair and beard and he wears a pleated peritonium.

Size: 78 mm. tall and 58 mm. wide.

Condition: Fine-Very fine for the type, missing left hand othervise intact with a fine light brown patina with deposits.

Large bowl on three feet with relief depictions from the Ramakien epic. Punched on the bottom Silver 100% / weight 30 baht, Thailland, c. later 19th. century AD.

Very high quality silver work on this bowl, in extremely high relief even for the type. See picture of the many depictions, incl. war, hunting, love etc..

Diameter 20cm. and weighing 459 grams.

A lovely patinated silver box for betel Chewing, Burma or Lanna, 19th. century. High grade silver!

Height 6,5cm, ø 12,5cm; weighing 166g.

Low box for a betel-chewing ingridient, star and flower on the lid, on the sides zigzag pattern, the whole background covered with petal-like nubs. A beautifully incised goat on the bottom.

Condition: Good very fine, warm old patina.
