The figure with many fine details. A high helmet with decorations, the harness is covered with green and yellow sancai glaze with lions on the shoulders and chest. He is holding a spear in left hand. Pigmented colors in red, white, black of which much remains.

A very rare and exceptional condition wooden figure from a Catholic Church, European, ca. 15th.-16th. century.

This catholic renaissance figure finely carved in a dark wood type, was likely carved in Germany or the Netherlands and dates to the very early periods, perhaps even late 15th. century.

The figures depicts a seated mature or elderly woman which is most likely Maria Magdalena, She wears a cloak with hood outside her gown. Very attractive with finely carved details...
