An exceptional style early Thai bronze buddha in a massive size for the period, Northern Thailand, c. 13th. century or perhaps slightly later.

Buddha is standing performing the gesture of absence of fear (abhaya mudra), dressed in a long monastic cloak revealing the shape of the body and the garment beneath, and held at the waist by a belt. He is displaying the roundel in his palm.
The figure shows clear elements from Lopburi / Khmer art with it's large lips and round faces etc...

A pair of strictly mueum quality German Wheel lock pistols, made for a German Prince for his personal guard, probably Saxony, late 16th. century.

The pistols are huge and at the same time very elegant with their slender form and lavishly inlaid with engraved staghorn compricing of of huntings scenes with dogs and game, and highly delicate folliage overall. Interestingly, there's different scenes of hunting on each pistol, while the folliage inlays are matching...

A lovely and extremely rare, large version of a Wheel-lock pistol in Noble quality, Germany, Augsburg, c. 1570-1580.

With swamped two-stage barrel, struck on the top flat of the octagonal breech with the Augsburg mark (Neue Støckel 1294), and the cock of the fine metal lock is engraved with marine monsters.

Ebonized full stock inlaid with white staghorn or bone panels between horn lines and borders mainly engraved with overlapping foliage and scrollwork...

An early Hindu sculpture in redish buff stone, of the godess Davi or Tara, Hindu artisans of Java, Indonesia, ca. 10th. century.

A nice very early sculpture, made while Southern Indian influence was strong in Java. Likely made by South-Indian artisans in the style of MADHYA PRADESH, though still with subtle Indonesian elements to the expression.

A matching pair of massive pottery horses with riders, Chinese, Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907).

This matching pair from the same tomb comes with a TL test from Ralf Kotallas lab, dating them to ca. 800 AD - so 1200 years old.

The set consists of a two similar horses brown coloured with details in red and white, lovely long dressed manes and large sadles, with a female and male rider. The female rider with her right hand thrown back and seated in a relaxed pose...

The figure is depicting Buddha in his moment of triumph over Mara, and awakening into an eternally blissful consciousness. It is rendered in the Kamphaeng Phet style, which echoes that of neighboring Sukhothai, but with subtle differences, such as sharper overall facial features and eyebrows that form a continuous line above the bridge of the nose...

We're happy to present a very rare and absolutely stunning Danish Fishtail dagger, latest neolithic fase in Daggertime, around 1800 BC.

The rather large dagger with finely made microseams on each side of the handle. On this type, the cross-section of the handle is diamond-shaped on the front and more oval flat on the back. The handle is also decorated with a particularly beautiful mid-seam. The blade worked very thin and symethric.

A lovely and scarce Italian closed combat helmet, with eye slits a come or ridge and a hinge at the side; it also have a produding iron guard that could also function as sunscreen, c. 1580-1610.

A rare and superb seated bronze Buddha, Subduing Mara Thailand, 2nd. period of U-Thong Style, 14th.-15th. Century AD.

Artistic and sensitive portrait, finely worked details and the robe is draped in the open mode with a long flap over the left shoulder ending above the navel. Notice also the band between the hairline and the forehead, probably from Wat Mahathat, Sukhothai.

Size: 32,5 cm. tall - a substantial specimen of this early type.

A very large and impressive Wheel-lock pistol, from Suhl, Germany, steel fitted and with ebonized stock, c. early 17th. cent.

Armoury / regimentsmark inlaid in the handle and stamped with Suhl control mark.

Condition: Nice Very fine, faint traces of hairline repair to stock at one place, very nicely done and almost not visible, perhaps from the time of use. Cleaned metal parts, later ramrod, othervise intact and choice.

A lovely massive relief carved in fine-crystalized white Marble from a grave, Roman Imperial Period, Eastern mediterraean, Late 2nd. / first half 3rd. century A.D.

The relief is showing a frontally standing family with raised right hands in an architectural frame.

Size: 42 cm. wide and 33 cm. tall and 7 cm. thick - a very impressive piece!

A finely patinated bronze figure of the Buddha with faint traces of gilding, China, dating to the Ming 1368–1644, | 明 銅佛坐像, comes with COA from old danish estate collection.

He is seated in dhyanasana on a separate lotus throne, right hand in the bhumisparsha mudra, the left in his lap, he is dressed in a richly pleated robe with engraved borders, the chest engraved with a swastika indicating the Bön tradition.
