An interesting pair of two Danish Neolithic Flint Blocks dating to Mesolithic or Neolithic period.

Both are nearly cylindrical in shape with lines showing where the flint blades were chopped off the blocks.

Blades made this way were often razor sharpe and very useful tools for cutting in the Neolithic everyday.

The blocks measure 7-8 cm in height each.

Here's a nice lot of three Danish Neolithics dating to later part of 3rd mill BC.

The lot consist of a smaller thinbladed axe, c. 2500-2000 BC, a very nice crexcent shaped sickle and a 'prework' to a dagger or sickle.

All are very well executed neolithic tools.

Sizes from 9,5 to 12,5 cm.

Condition: The sickle is in Near Mint condition, the axe with some chip to the edge, otherwise perfect. The dagger also Near Mint.

The boy and girl in simple clothing and with bare lower arms and legs, holding a large seashell (dish) and flowers in their hands. The set is very rare and would possible be associated with funeral rituals.

- The thin-butted axe, superbly polished on all sides to an almost glass-like degree, with a razor sharp edge or bit. High quality Silex, patinated in a deep greyish brown colour.

A large and very beautiful Danish Neolithic Sickle from around 2000 BC - Daggertime.

A thin, crescent shaped blade. In fact so thin, you can see minerals in the silex when hold it in front of a light.

The sickle is equipped with sawtooth, so maybe it was used as a saw in Antiquity.

According to insciption, the sickle was found in Norther Jutland in 1960.

A wonderful specimen of a Neolithic axe / adze dating to mid/late third century B.C.

Very well proportioned, symmetrical body with a hollow knapped edge. Smaller areas on both sides are polished to complete the symmetric design, and make the axe fit perfectly to the shaft.

Perfectly executed seamed sides also bear witness that a skilled craftsman was behind this beautiful axe in Antiquity.
