An late renaissance or baroque period Iron Padlock, European, ca. 16th.-17th. century.

Cast and wrought lock. Very beautiful with an arched moveable part and a keyhole at one end. The lock was cobber braized or plated in the renaissance manor and much cobber can still be spotted in parts of the surface (see pictures).

Size: 13,5 cm. long and around 7 cm. high.

A superb condition, top style Mesopotamian serpentine cylinder seal, dating Jemdet Nasr period, 3300-2900 BC.

A thinbladed, very attractive type. A type made in the latest fase of the neolithic period, when the flintsmith tried to compete with the bronze smiths.

The workmanship is very skilled and proportions are just perfect.

The axe is 92 mm. long and is made of fine flint, now patinated from the 4000 years of buriel in a moisty farmland or marsh.

The patina is mottled redish brown...

A very heavy key with kidney-shaped bow and a very thick stem and bit. Remnants of copper plating on the surface.
