A very nice steatite scarab, dating to the New Kingdom period in Egypt between the 16th century BC and the 11th century BC.

The scarab is engraved with a fine clear set of different hieroglyphs, incl. a Horus falcon and the Ankh symbol - sign of life.

Tbe scarab itself is very beautiful and naturalistic.

A fine lot consisting of one Egyptian type of greyware lamp, the socalled Frog lamp, ca. 1st.-3rd. century AD, and two Late Roman-Byzantine period pottery lamps, Holyland manifacture, ca. 4th.-6th. century AD. All lamps are decorated, one with a jumping lion.
