Exceptional massive stamp seal, carved in fine translucent Calchedony, Neo-Babylonian, 7th.-6th. century BC. Large for the type.

A hardstone ellipsoid stamp seal with design depicting a standing bearded robed male, worshipper or perhaps a priest, facing the Alter on which the mushhushu-dragon is reclining, symbols of Marduk and Nabu. FĂ­nely carved in drill style.

Interesting and extremely rare Egyptian carved hardstone amulet, 2nd.-1st. mill. BC.

This could classify as a scaraboid, with a stylized engraving on the top, perhaps of an animal, and lots of finely carved hieroglyps on the base. Thses glyphs also includes a Cartouche. An extremely rare and important Etruscan offer bowl (omphalos), made in thick terracotta glazed pottery, 400-300 BC.

This shallow terracotta bowl is molded after bronze vessels and has a dome-like omphalos emerging from its interior. Around the omphalos are deep relief decorations. Very rare in terracotta.

The exterior is finely glazed and the bowl has two holes for hanging, typical for the Etruscan ware.

An illusive macehead designed to swing at the end of a chain attached to a pole, the socalled Morgen Stern or morning star in bronze, Viking / Early Medieval, likely Norse / Baltic area, ca. 8TH.-9TH. century AD.

Though often pictured as a repro, the morning star was a weapon demanding a lot of skills of the user, thus not very common then or today. This is actually the first we've had in 20 years of dealing.

A finely made inkwell in a typical North Italian style, with finely cast and engraved details. A tripod resting on legs formed as Eagles with spread wings.
