Rare Old Babylonian cylinder seal, dating, 2100-1800 BC.

Exceptionally sharp cylinder seal with the great King standing before the godess Ana, another godess to his left, standing facing.

Note that there's c. 200 years between adding the last godess to this seal. It's not unusual that engravings were added later to cylinder seals and in the this case is the difference in style very distinct...

A very rare beautyful scarab, carved in black hardstone, possibly onyx, dating to late period, 7th.-3rd. cent. BC.

The scarab is carved and polished with the image of a running dog stylized and very artful. The beetle is very beatyfully carved as well.

Very large and impressive decorated bronze bowl, dating to the period of Abbasid dominance, 7th.-9th. AD.

This bowl belongs to the interesting group of metal vessels which were made of high tin, or white bronze, in Persian sefîd rûy or in Arabic nuhâs abyad, an alloy of copper and zinc from around the 7th. cent and onwards.

This bowl is very large and possibly a food bowl with incised circles and a punched decoration in the center.

A rare and quite exceptional Syrian cylinder seal, dating to the first half of the 2nd. mill. BC.

The seal was made in hematite during the period of the Old Hittite Kingdom but displays a strong Babylonian influence.

In the center we see a horned animal attacked from either side by two lions. In the fields birds and other preys and a line of Scorpions below. Several severed human heads also present.

A good South Italian or Etruscan pottery dish, dating to the 4th. century BC.

Unusual dish with a series of many circles inside the dish in light brown as well as on the rim. The back also painted in brown circles. A very attractive and large dish!

Size: 183 mm. wide and 45 mm. high.

Condition: Choice! Uncleaned find state, with very minor dent to the rim. The dish will benefit much from gentle cleaning which will bring out vivid colours!
