A fine larger bronze Dagger, greater Persia, 'Luristan', later 2nd. millenium BC.

A long slender type of dagger with a pointy blade for stabbing and thus military use. The dagger hilt made to take inlays and the original lost inlays, was replaced by a pair of perfectly carved and smoothly polished green stone inlays, of a very hard stone, perhaps Jade or Jadeite.

Size: 38-39 cm. in length, so almost a short sword lenght in antiquity.
