Scarce and attractive steatite scarab of the New Kingdom period, inscribed with the royal name / cartouche of Seti I, 1294-1279 BC.

Carved in greyish steatite with fine details of the beetle and inscribed with 'men ka re'. Thanks to a good collector friend reassigned from Thutmosis (men kheper re)

Size: c. 15 mm. long.

Condition: Extremely fine, particularly sharp and finely preserved specimen, patina with web-like crackles.

A beautiful stone vessel carved and finely polished in a dark redish brown stone, Egypt, Early Dynastic period of the 3rd. millenium BC. Probably Old Kingdom

The squat wide vessel with a thick disc-shaped lip.

Size: c. 85 mm. wide, and 50 mm. tall. Finely hollowed for use, but still quite heavy!

Condition: Nice Very fine and intact, with wear and minor chips and a lovely ancient patina.

A rather lovely carving of a head from a statue, New Kingdom, c. 16th.-12th. cent. BC.

The features and hieroglyph in the forehead suggests a depiction of a Pharao or Nobility class male individual. Carved in the round with excellent details.

Size: c. 47 mm. tall.

Condition: Features nicely preserved but a fragment with loss to back of head.

A rare and quite attractive set of two knives and a sicle type of cutter (3), knapped in finely patinated Silex, Egyptian stoneage / Neolithic period, 5200 - 4000 BC.

These comes from an old French collection and the two knives with tags in white and black ink giving the finding place to 'Fayoum' and 'Le Fayoum' - a region just south of Cairo, close to the Nile.

Rarely seen and a must for collectors of Egypt antiquities.

Size: Each between 9-10 cm. in length...

A very attractive conoid stamp seal of a scaraboid type, faience or glazed stone, dating to early New Kingdom, probably the reign of Thutmosis II, 15th. cent. BC.

The scaraboid of superb colours of torquise green and carved with a symethric arrangement of Ureaus hieroglyphs. The scaraboid is carved on the upperside too - with lines. Rare.

A very attractive large Udjat eye amulet, Egyptian, and probably Late period, mid 1st. millenium BC.

The amulet is vcarved in a hard Diorite stone, very beautiful in hand.

Size: 26-27 mm. wide and very thick.

Condition: Choice and as made, the drill went wrong, visible at the back so the artist drilled another hole just beside the first one.

A splendid large steatite scarab from the New Kingdom, 16th. century BC- 11th. century BC.

The scarab is carved with a vase (?) flanked by a pair of hieroglyphs for the Cobra / Uraeus and further down the scarab beetle finely outlined in between hieroglyphs. The scarab is also finely carved on the back and with tiny details of body, head and legs. Note also the cylindrical finials for the horisontical drill.

An extremely rare scarab seal, carved as an Udjat eye in grey-brown steatite, Egypt, New Kingdom, c. 15th.-14th. cent.

The eye is carved with great artistry, to creat a perfect Udjat eye with fine details and on the base, three strong hieroglyphs of the Ankh for giving Life the Uraeus and erect Cobra and lastly the flat Sun-disc.
