IMPRESSIVE LARGE POTTERY DISH, CENTRAL-WESTERN ASIA, CA. 11TH. CENTURY AD.

This dish is 23,5 cm. wide and around 5,5 cm. high. A beautifuly made dish with a turned over rim and the finest vivid green glace.

Condition: Choice, mended from a few large pieces with the edges retouched.

FINE POTTERY BOWL WITH GREEN GLACE, WESTERN-CENTRAL ASIA, 10TH-11TH. CENTURY AD.

A beautiful bowl decorated with a wonderful glossy rich glace in green.

Size: ca 175 mm. wide and 75 mm. deep.

Condition: Choice for type, some gentle resoration, much original glace and looks unrestored.

LARGE POTTERY BOWL WITH GREEN GLACE, WESTERN-CENTRAL ASIA, 10TH-11TH. CENTURY AD.

A very high bowl, almost cone shaped and particularly large for the type. Eastern part of the ancient Samanid Empire, around the Bamiyan region.

Size: ca 23 cm. wide and 12 cm. high!.

Condition: Choice for type with much original glaze, hairline cracks restored and almost invisible...

A choice & rare islamic pottery bowl dating to 10th-12th century AD.

The bowl has a greenish white glace with some wear due to age.

The bottom of the interior is decorated with a calligraphic symbol.

Size: 110x36 mm.

A very rare and interesting Islamic pottery tile with medallion and arab Muslim writing inside, pre 15th. century AD.

The tile would looks be of Khorassan and dating ca. 12th. century AD, but is guaranteed to be pre 1500.

Greyish pottery with low relief but sharp imprint. Crescent and sun visible as Islamic symbols and floral and geomethric decorations. In the center a medallion with Cufic or Arab writing.

The vessel from the ancient makers of the famous spouted jars in the region (city) of Amlash.

Finely sculptured vessel with three large handles and a full body and narrow base. With small Spout.

A very large and rare Amlash grey ware zoomophic pottery vessel.

A huge piece for type and culture. Ancient Near East, Amlash or neighboring cultures, 1300-1100 BC.

Finely sculptured to look like a large bird with the beak as the sprout of the vessel.

Size: A massive vessel!. Around 33 cm. wide and ca. 23-24 cm. high.

A nicely decorated Indus Valley pottery beaker or cup, dating to c. 3rd mill. BC. Probably Mehrgarh-civilisation.

The vessel with high walls on a narrow base, painted zoomorphic motif of a cow and some geometrical patterns.

Cream, blue and black glazed pottery dish on a short foot. The center decorated with faint floral patterns in relief in the manor of the Seljuqs.

Condition: Very fine, completely original surfaces, a hairline crack restored. Exceptional silverish iridescence patina that is difficult to picture.

Turquoise glazed, pottery bowl with flaring body rising from a short foot. The sides and center decorated with a floral patterns or perhaps stylized birds(?) and a star-shaped or radiated element.

Condition: Superb. Remnants of light silver iridescence patina that is difficult to picture.

An important and beautiful larger pottery bowl with musician, Near East, ca. 12th.-13th. century AD.

A very rare and impressive conically shaped pottery bowl with green-yellow decoration on a cream-white ground. A musician seated in the center with a string instrument and 6 other figures seated on the fan with halos, marvelous dotted decoration.

Size: 25 cm. wide and 10 cm. high.
