A FINE BRONZE SHORT SWORD BLADE WITH MEDIUM LONG TANG, WESTERN ASIA, 1800-1400 BC.

An extremely fine condition tanged bronze short sword with proniment shoulders and a blade with a diamondshaped crosssection. Commonly termed 'Luristani' by collectors, but from the broader Western Asia area.

Size: 36 cm.

Condition: Superb for type, wonderful smooth dark green patina.

A very beautiful and rare bronze mace head, Western Asian, dating to the 2nd. millenium BC

A rare Luristan bronze mace head. The upper body with a segmented swelling, bordered by bands, interesting large discus at each end, makes it a very rare type.

Size: ca. 129 mm. high and massive.

Condition: Superb, with excellent brown and green patina - a gem!

Provenance: Old Danish private Collection (Hans Henningsen), bought in the 1980s in London.

The dagger with high shoulders, short tang and the blade with diamond cross-section.

The dagger is very attractive with a very beautyful patina.

An nice larger mirror in bronze, Islamic, 10th.-12th. century AD.

The islamic bronze mirrors were typically made in the Chinese style of the Han Period with added islamic elements. This mirror is large and with a recessed face and undecorated back. Small loss to the handle.

Condition: Choice, fine smooth water-green patina. Old Collection tag on the reverse.

A fine silver ancient Islamic belt buckle from the earliest fase in the Islamic domination of the world, 7th.-9th. century AD.

A beautiful and perfectly intact belt buckle completely covered in black patina and in solid silver. Fine ornamentation.

Condition: Superb! A partidularly fine specimen with completely black patina.

A wonderful matching set of three Mace Heads of the rare claw-shaped type, Bactria, 2nd. millenium BC.

Bactrian bronze egg-shaped mace-heads with spiked sleeves or prongs, Late 2nd Millennium BC. The top of the weapons with narrow edge, the sleeves with small internal tangs for mounting them to a shaft.

Size: Max 6,2 cm. wide and 7,1 cm. high...

A puzzling piece made in patinated bronze or silver. The alloy is very white, so it could be silver too. Luristan, 1st. millenium BC. The piece is perhaps a horsebit or horse-equipment. It's decorated with two rams heads on each side of a long pole that has two bases.

Size: 12,8 cm. long and 5,5 cm. high. ca. 102 grams

A large and impressive bronze seal with Zoomorphic handle in the shape of two bird heads, early 1st. mill. BC.

The seal very large - 5 cm. tall and weighing 56 grams. Its cast with two heads and a loop between them. The seal being round and engraved with a single symbol.

Condition: Superb, exceptional red and green patina.

A rare Ancient Near East Bronze short sword or large dagger dating to 1st-2nd mill BC.

Commonly termed Luristani by dealers and collectors.

Fine style weapon with square shoulders and a flat central midrib. As a rare feature, on this short sword the lower part of the hilt is intact, which is seldom seen on this type of bronze age weapon.

Size is 42,7 cm - 16,8 inches.

A massive and rare excarvated bronze vessel, likely for the storage of liquids, Byzantine, 6th.-9th. century AD.

Horisontically ribbed body and carinated vertically ribbed shoulder with funnel mouth.

Made in solid metal in a fine vase-like shape, with holes for attaching it to chains. A utility vessel, used for containing foods or liquids.

Size: 34-35 cm. wide and around 35,5 cm...

Ancient Near East, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BC. A large elaborate bronze cloak pin, cast via the lost wax (cire perdue) process with poppy flower shaped terminal.

Used to fasten clothes, in this case due to the unusually heavy fabric and decoration, likely leather for presentation use - perhaps for a very thick cape or leather armor...

A bronze Scythe, Turkmenistan / Caspian Sea Area, bronzeage 2nd.-1st. mill. BC.

Interesting large and very sharp blade, used as a harvesting tool and sometimes as a weapon as well. European bronzeage scythe blades (sicles) are fairly commenly sold on the market whereas sicles from the Near east or western asian bronzeage cultures are very scarce indeed. This specimen is larger than most European blades, whith a highly sharpened blade and a thick slightly bended back of blade...

A massive ancient Near East bronze lance, ca. 1500-1000 BC.

Caspian Sea area, likely Turkmenistan. The largest bronze lance we've had for 20 years with it's 55 cm.

The lance with a very long folded and hammered socket, still with original content inside. Blade with a raised midsection.

A highly interesting piece for it's size alone, very impressive in hand.

Condition: Very nice, intact with minor losses to the blade, as seen in the pictures...

A cast bronze sword from Ancient Near East, Amlash, dating to around 14th-10th cent BC. Tapering double-edged, slightly convex blade with flat mid-rib and short tang with hole for a rivet to fasten handle. Size: c. 51 cm - c. 19,5 inches. Condition: Choice. A large 'Luristan' tanged Bronze lance head dating to 2nd. mill. BC.

The lance with a leafshaped blade, a rectangular-sectioned midrib and gently curved shoulders. The tang is bend at the top.

Size: 34,3 cm - 13 inches.

Condition: A choice lancehead with azurite and green patina. Intact with some nicks and roughness to the edge.
