A very nice smaller hardstone stamp seal, levante, 2nd.-1st. millenium BC.

The seal is carved in a special, attractive mottled black stone. The base engraved with a figure, perhaps a seamonster (?), and waves or lines below to elude either the sea or grass.

A stamp seal, that was reused from an earlier Sumerian Duck-weight and carved with a ´floral' pattern.

A massive and fine condition prehistoric gable seal, Mesopotamia, ca. 5th.-4th. millenium BC.

Absolutely splendid seal in hard black Serpentine stone, engraved with a long-horned stag. Wonderful quality engraving and the medium among the best of the early period.

With it's approx 33 mm. x 24 mm. seal base, impressive in hand. The pyramidal type of seal 11 mm. high and pierced for suspension.

A large and very nicely carved stamp seal in black stone, Anatolia/Levante, 2nd. millenium BC.

Lovely engravings of a horned bull attacked by a Lion on one side and on the other side, an impressive winged Goat, with small bearded human head above.

Interesting and very rare!

Condition: Very fine and basically intact with central piercing at a later time and some flaking...

The lot includes a scarce 2nd. millenium Hittite type of 4-side stamp with 4 different impressions of humans and plants, a triangular seal with a knob handle and engraved with a floral pattern and lastly, a cone-shaped seal with round base engraved with scriptssigns(?). All carved in black serpentine.
