These Laotian opium weights are skilfully cast in the form of a protective serpent referred to as a Naga in Asia (ref. Gear p.259). We haven't ever seen these peculiar types for sale. The 4 legged animal in high tin alloys, the horse in a more cuprite alloy; one of a horse with a round necklace on oval base, the other on a square base.

A very interesting set of two exceedingly rare laotian or Lanna bronze opium weights of birds, ca. 18th. century.

We haven't ever seen these peculiar types for sale. Both in high tin alloys; one with 8 or 9 point value marks on the round base, the other with weight adjustment marks below the square base.

Beautifully patinated and both looks like 18th. century weights but could early 19th. century.

Weight: 66 grams and 42,4 grams...

An interesting selection of three different bronze seals, India, Hindu, ca. 16th.-19th. century.

One of these seals looking very old with a deep bronze patina, another interesting with a 'Jewish' star in the middle and the third interesting with an Ant or another insect as the stamp below. All three with high handles.

Sizes: max 4,5 cm. high and 5,5 cm. in diameter for the largest oval seal.

A fine high quality bronze figure of Guanyin, Late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911 AD).

Details of very high quality; she is standing on a Lotus Throne on top of an arrangement with a Turtle and a Toad under large leafs and other floral decoration. She is clad in a long flowing gown, holding attributes in each hand and wearing an elaborate headdress; serene beautiful facial expression. Unsigned, but must have been made by a highly skilled artisan.

These figures are especially attractive; of finely patinated chestnut-brown bronze with very refined facial features and details overall. Each with elaborate headdress, garments and boots and holding larger objects in the hands, perhaps scrollcases or the like. They are dating Late Ming Dynasty – Early Qing Dynasty, ca. 1650-1750.

A red-ware ceramic Tripod Ever, Chinese Neolithic Period, Early 3rd. millenium BC.

Splendid intact ceramic, extremely rare due to it's massive size for the type and the fact that this is an ever, not a Jar that is much more common.
