A lovely high patinated 'Gao' prayer box with the Lama Letter and monastery laquer seal inside, the box probably deep into the 18th. century, the letter an early 20th. century addition in english.

Beautiful ancient box with extensive smooth wear and decoration on the front. The letter inside on silky paper, handmade and coloured. Comes with a monastery seal with Budhha.

An attractive late medieval bronze opium weight in the old classical style featuring the elongated octagonal base. Depicting a ‘Toe’ or lionbeast, Burma c. 1550 AD

Note the beside standard circular verification mark at the front of the base, there's also a later 6 rayed star or auxillery mark and added mass between the legs, so this weight was upgraded during time of use...

A high quality, larger pottery figure of a male haouse attendant, dating to Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.).

The attendant is wearing a robe in green and yellow Sancai colors, and he caerries a teapot in front of his chest. He wears a hat shaped like the roof of a house - a beculiar feature. .

Nicely painted facial details with and a realistic expression.

An wonderful and elaborate pottery figure of a female house attendant, Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD.), dating to c. 1550-1600 AD.

A beautiful, elderly lady, clad in a blue dress with tourquoise sleaves. She is carrying a dish with food in front of her chest. She is placed on a square plint with tourqoise glaze on the top.

Nicely painted facial details. A very fine and elegant figure from Ming dynasty, with it's careful thick glazing and fine expression.

A set of three Chinese Ming Dynasty pottery tomb figures of house attendants / gardeners. The figures date to Ming Dynasty - 1368-1644 AD.

The set consists of three figures clad in dark blue robes and hats. Each figure seems to be holding or carrying something for his master. A group of sturdy fellows, by the looks of them. All placed on square plints.

Size: the figures measure 22-23 cm. in height.

Condition: Choice condition with very minor wear and losses...

This type are the finest and most elegant figures we've had from Ming dynasty, with it's careful thick glazing and finely painted details.

A beautiful bronze temple bell with twisted stem and with two Garudas seated under the protective roof of the Cobra as a finial, Nepalese, 18th.-19th. century AD.

With a stunning brown patina and inscribed with short inscription in Sanskrit on the side of the bell.

Rare pair of Chinese Chrysanthemum Bowls or dishes, China, for ritual purpose, Ming Dynasty, c. 15th. century AD.

Ritual low food bowls or dishes for a rich Ming dynasty tomb, shaped in relief after the Chrysanthemum flower with a glaze of torquise and olive colours. Quite rarely seen as a large pottery model!

Size: Each dish measure around 130 mm. in diameter.

Condition: Extremely fine intact with a nice crackled glaze patina.

Provenance: Estate of the Danish Artist Rolf Gjedsted, bought in the 1980s. antiquities market in Copenhagen.

A group of 39 handcarved Chinese Mother of Pearl gaming Chips dating to c. 1800-1840.

Gaming chips in Mother of Pearl were crafted in China for export to Britain, where the Georgian and Victorian aristocracy used the chips when playing parlor games.

All 39 pieces have an elliptical shape, with criss cross patterns and floral motifs engraved in hand.

Very beautiful and interesting antique Mother of Pearl gaming chips.

A choice set of two farm animals as tomb pottery in the Sancai green and orange colours, dating to c. 1500-1550 AD.

Size: Bull, 12 cm. long and 10 cm. tall and Horse c. 14 cm. long and 12,5 cm. tall.

Condition: Good very fine for type and age, with uncleaned deposits of dirt. Finely preserved glaze with a nice gloss and fine age crackles, especially on the bull.
