An attractive and peculiar style bronze buddha, Indonesia, perhaps Sumatra (?), 19th. century or earlier.

He is seated in meditation with tribal headdress and large round bracelets on an semi-circular throne with a backplate.

Size: 11,8 cm. tall.

Conditin: Choice and intact with a fine dark natural patina.

Beautiful ancient box with extensive smooth wear and decoration on the front.

Rare and massive Shan Weight of 1/2 Viss (50 Tical), Shan States, ca. 1800-1850 AD.

A finely patinated bronze weight; U-tail, Duck-like with hanging tail feathers, with handle and standing on a finely decorated round and stepped base.

A high quality carved Madura handle from a Javanese keris or Kriss, dating to 18th.-19th. century AD.

Fantastic condition for the medium and a very expressive carving. Lovely glossy amber-like patina.

A lovely patinated silver box, probably for betel Chewing. High grade silver!

Height 10cm, ø bottom 11,4cm . and weighing 393g.

Cylindrical container with mythical creatures and animals on the lid, body and bottom. An additional section inside. Very nice decoration and quite rarely seen as ornate from Burma.

Condition: About extremely fine, warm old patina.

A very nice earlier Shan Duck or Hamsa Bird with old bird? verification mark at the hexagonal base. Smooth neck, one spike on the top and ear-shaped wing.

Interesting set of two bronze weights including a scarce Arakan weight and another probably Burmese Shan, both early weights for the types probably dating late 18th. century.

The Arakan weight typically crude manifacturing and only 254 grams, the other weight weighs c. 315 grams.

Both with much patina and attractive!

An intriguing and extremely rare Late Shan bronze opium weight of a U tail Hamsa bird c. 1800, but without any kind of ridges or spikes to ether neck or head!

The weight can be classified along with the later Shan bronze weights with hexagonal bases (See Gear group 1+2), but not published in this beautiful bird form...

A lovely and exceptionally large sitting Pu-tai / Laughing Buddha, Thailand, ca. 18th. cent. perhaps even earlier.

An unusual wooden Buddha, laquered and gilt on a core of heavy tropical wood. Beautiful details and a real conversation piece.

Size: 64 cm. tall and ca. 49 cm. wide. Due to the high quality heavy wood, he weighs more than 20 kilograms, more precise weight can be given upon request.

Bronze 5 tical opium Toe weight with lovely patina, ca. 1750-1776 AD.

Nice version of the Toe type with the elavated tail and with three spikes, with a octagonal base engraved with concenthric lines and fine details to the cast.

Possible released by King Hsinbyushin in connection with his war campaigns into Manipur, Lanna and Siam in 1763-1767. Reff: Leif B. Mikkelsen 'Opium Weights', p.133, fig. 71.
