Fine massive Hamsa Duck, Burmese, Arakan dating to ca. 1790-1820 AD.

Interesting type of Hamsa Bird with a round base. Typical Arakan rather archaic, but attractive style after the Capturing by Bodawpaya in 1784.

Authentic scarce Snake Opium Weight, Laos, early 19th. century.

This Laotian opium weight is skilfully cast in the form of a protective serpent referred to as a Naga in Asia (ref. Gear p.259). A very interesting set of two exceedingly rare laotian or Lanna bronze opium weights of birds, ca. 18th. century.

We haven't ever seen these peculiar types for sale. Both in high tin alloys; one with 8 or 9 point value marks on the round base, the other with weight adjustment marks below the square base.

Beautifully patinated and both looks like 18th. century weights but could early 19th. century.

A fine and scarce medium-late Burmese bronze Opium Weight of the Golden Hamsa type, issued from ca. 1760.

A superbly cast and well-made type with lots of fine details, 6-ray star, unusual. What is even more unusual for the lower value type is the added handle.

Interesting collection of 10 fine bronze opium weights, in the shape of Shan Ducks, Burma 18th.-19th. century.

A small collection of different types and weights, ranging from the large 300+ grams 20 tical weights down to the smallest size weights, the 1/4 ticals. The smallest weight weighs 3,62 grams and is rather scarce!

It consists of 3 x 20 ticals (ca. 320 grams each), 2 x 10 ticals at 78 and 83 grams, and a scarce 4 tical weight, 1/2 ticals and one 1/4 tical.

A rare and massive Shan Weight of 1/2 Viss (50 Tical), Shan States, ca. 1800 AD. or slightly later

A finely patinated bronze weight; U-tail, Duck like with hanging tail feathers, with handle on a hexagonal base, no mark.
