A very beautiful and very large terracotta head of a young girl, Greece, Hellenistic period, c. 3rd.-2nd. century BC.

Exceptional details with the efeu wreath and elaborate headdress.

Condition: Very fine, partly corroded, but sound hard, ready to display.

A large Greek amphora handle, Rhodes, c. 3rd.-2nd. century BC.

The handle inscribed with a two line makers name / mark in Greek, fully readable.

A wonderful mounted fragment of a ceramic wall tile depicting a Maenad and a Satyr, Etruscan, 5th.-4th. cent. BC.

The piece in very thick stoneware with a high relief.

Provenance: Private Collection of Bjørn De Roepstorff, an important Danish castle / mansion collection. The family lived in Italy in the 1970s and bought a few antiquities, like this nice relief.

Greek Apulian Lekanis, Lady of Fashion - Ca. 350 B.C., from the ancient Greek colony of Apulia, in southern Italy. Terracotta lidded pottery vessel with footed base, dome-shaped lid and knob handle. Lid painted in red-figure style with series of two Lady of Fashion in profile and two palmette panels. The Lekanis was used in antiquity to store soaps and scented perfumes...

An attractive Volute Krater - an amphora like vessel - with Volutes at the top of each handle, with reddish slip, Canusia, Southern Italy, Greek period, c. 4th. century BC.

An elaborate type at an affordable price!

Condition: Very fine for the fragile type. Crack at the top and handles / rim, reattached but the vessel looks nice with original surfaces and greyish-brown patina.

A very beautiful tall figural alabastron in form of Kore, Eastern Greek, Middle of the 6th century BC.

The portrait is in the tradition of the Kore representations, here as a young elegant woman holding a bird in her left hand, red-brown terracotta.
