A very handsome specimen of the largest group of struck coins ever.

Stamped and dated FRS 1749 and by Fredrik I, the Swedish king.

These coins are extremely heavy and were used in the international trade in the 17th.-18th. century. They are considered as some of worlds largest coins in circulation ever.

Size & weight: ca. 19x17 cm. and 1433 grams.

Condition: Very fine, attractive dark and cuprite patina.

A rare medieval / Viking period silver coin, dating to Vendian or Viking kingdoms of Northern Europe, c. 900-1000 AD. Crude imitation of a Carolingian denar, slightly cup-shaped of fine silver. The coin shows a cross with 4 pellets / a church or another building.
