A bearded holy man, holding both hands together as in a prayer and on his left elbow and behind him, rests a head of a large Dragon or beast. Guaranteed at least 1500 years old, we believe, it's from ancient near east, ca. 2nd.-1st. millenium BC.

Rare Mesopotamian or Levantine cylinder seal in brown stone, dating to the early 2nd. mill. BC.

This seal is from a very old collection and still comes with a tag glued to the seal with inscription, so far not understood.

A fine pair of two stamp seals, North Mesopotamia or Syria, 5th.-4th. millenium BC.

Types are among the first seals used in the world. Simple design, one is Hemisperoid, pierced on the doomed back, the other rectangular, pierced horisontically, both carved with fine symethric designs. The retangular with carvings on both sides, the Button-shaped, incl. an impression, made by the old collector, many years ago.

A rare and interesting Cylinder seal in black stone, likely Serpentinite, Neo-Babylonian, ca. 800-600 BC

the seal carved with the image of the Great king standing with a Scimitar or Sicle sword in his right hand in front of a high doomed Alter.

This depiction is rather common on stamp seals but scarce and attractive on a cylinder! In this period stamp seals were mainly used, while Cylinders were being fased out.

Terrific large Akkadian cylinder seal, carved in a finely pretified cream-greyish stone, c. 2334 – 2154 BC

Size: 3,7 cm x 2,2 cm.

The seal is carved with the image of Shamash coming forth through the Eastern gate of Heaven and stepping up upon the Mountain of the Sunrise, one of the twin peaks of Mountain Mashu.

An attractive amulet showing the outline of female genitals, Anatolia / Mesopotamian, 5th.-4th. millenium BC.

The amulet made in the neolithic period, perhaps provided more children or better havesting in antiquity.

On the back a loop that was worn through at some points, so this amulet was extensively used.
