Cast and wrought lock. Very beautiful with an arched moveable part and a keyhole at one end. The lock was cobber braized or plated in the renaissance manor and much cobber can still be spotted in parts of the surface (see pictures).

An early medieval style Iron Padlock, European, likely Flanders / Dutch, ca. 16th. century.

A very rare and most desirable Late Renaissance Iron Key, European, ca. early 17th. century.

The key very peculiar with a large 7,5 cm. wide handle instead of the usual bow. The stem with a wide collar and a reenforced bit with a cross.

The key was original cobberbrazed and much cobber is still visible on the stem.

A very nice lot of two rare keys, ca. 12th.-16th. century.

The lot consists of a very rare small Iron key with a Tulip-shaped bow, likely dating Medieval pre 1500s and perhaps much older!

Size:6,2 cm.

The other key, a Renaissance period type, likely dating to the 15th.-16th. century, though the bid looks more like 14th. century. The key is copper-brazed / plated with cuprite many highlights when you take a closer look.
