A fine late Babylonian or Old Assyrian cylinder seal in black hematite, dating to 1800-1600 BC.
Southern Mesopotamian type from the socalled Isin-Larsa period. Presentation scene, with the deity facing right and Lama, the intervening goddess, presenting worshipper. In the fields a bird and an a four-legged animal. Sharp and beautyful seal!
