Rare Old Babylonian cylinder seal, dating, 2100-1800 BC.
Exceptionally sharp cylinder seal with the great King standing before the godess Ana, another godess to his left, standing facing.
Note that there's c. 200 years between adding the last godess to this seal. It's not unusual that engravings were added later to cylinder seals and in the this case is the difference in style very distinct. Checked by experts at BMC as a a 100% authentic seal from a good Danish Private Collection.
