A huge pottery tomb figure, dating to the Ming Dynasty, circa A.D. 1368 - 1644
Unusually large size for the type and with a wonderful amount of sharp details - wonderful style!
The rider wearing high hat and green glazed long robe, holding a musical instrument on his right hand, the horse standing four-square on a rectangular base, with the remaining of red and black pigments.
Size: 33 cm. high and some 28-29 cm. from head to tail, makes this one of the largest and most massive figures of the type we've sold.
Condition: Near Mint, thin hairline repair of a piece of the saddle-dress, but othervise superb!
