A superb larger terracotta lamp, possibly from the workshops in Nothern Afrika, dating to the Late Roman period, c. 3th-4th. cent. AD.

The lamp is extremely attractive in red terracotta with a relief motif of two figures on the face. Nice concentric decor on both sides.

Size: 125 mm. x 93 - a large pottery lamp and impressive.

Condition: Superb, beautyful colour with light uncleaned dirt in the details, which stands in high relief.

Ex. Johan Dæhlfeldt Estate Collection - 40 years of collecting antiquities.
