Impressive patinated Danish neolithic offeraxe, dating to the Time of the Great Buriel-mounts, c. 3000 BC.
The axe is very broad and quite long, of a transitional type of large flintaxes, made for ritual or buriel purpose in the middle-later Neolithic period, just prior to the Single Grave period.
A thinbutted type with exceptional pinky and grey patina.
Fine symethric work with nice stiching (seams).
Size: c. 220 mm. long and 90 mm. wide at the max.
Condition: Mint, with fine patination, perfect edge and butt.
