A superb and very large pottery figure of an attendant or official, dating to the earlier Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.
The figure stands of a high hexagonal plint in fine green-glazed robes with orange details. The belts in red pigment and the high hats in black pigment. Finely painted facial details.
The head is attachable as often seen on the largest figures from this period. He holds a a rolled up blanket under his arm.
Size: The figure measure c. 41 cm. Very impressive and heavy conversation piece!
Condition: Superb, finely preserved glaze and pigment, undamaged and no repairs.
