A rather large Ming Dynasty pottery figure of an attendant or official, dating to 1400-1500 AD.
The figure is of a male clad in a green dress, carrying a book or a box in his hands. He has a high black hat on his head. Finely painted facial details. The figure features a thick, green glaze on the dress and pigmentet colors in white, brown, red and black.
This type is among the most accurately painted and best glazed tomb figures made during the Ming Dynasty
Size: The figure measure c. 32-33 cm. Very impressive!
Condition: Superb, finely preserved glaze and pigment, undamaged and no repairs.
