A MARVELOUS LARGE AND SHARP MESOPOTAMIAN CYLINDER SEAL WITH BANKET SCENE, EARLY DYNASTIC PERIOD, 2900-2350 BC.
The black serpentine seal depicts a seated noble of king in the center, while another figure is at his back pulling out the chair for him to sit. Yet, another figure is offering him foods and drinks. he is likely drinking beer out of a straw. Spearpoints as seperators. Don't mind the cracks in the imprint, the seal is perfect, wax was too sticky.
This seal was once goldmounted to wear it as a pendant. Very nicely done and enhancing it's value. The gold is thick.
Size: 4 cm. incl. the gold, the seal alone, 2,6-2,7 cm.
