Ancient Egyptian Ivory carving of a small beaker or Jar, likely Late Period, 1st. millenium BC.

The jar very nicely done with thin walls and a small raised base.

Size: 47 mm in diameter and 38 mm tall.

Condition: Superb, fantastic for such a material, a few thin hairlines and evidence of heavy use in the interiour. Likely once with a lid.

Provenance: Jytte Soelberg Private Collection, bought in the 1970-1980 from much older collection of a Danish Engineer, travelling in Egypt in the 1950s-1960s. This one (no 820 in the collection) bought at Luxor.
