A Cypro-Geometric (1100 — 700 B.C) bichrome-on light ground-kylix (Bichrome III Ware).
The kylix is decorated with horizontal lines and bands, vertical lines and crosses, preserving the strict symmetry of the vessel’s decoration, which is characteristic of the Cypro-Geometric period. The pottery of the period derived to a certain degree from the repertoire of the Late Bronze Age (1600-1050 B.C.), however developed independently later, both is shape and decoration, with local traditions and tastes predominating.
Size: 19 cm. in diameter and 10,5 cm. high.
Condition: Superb! Highly unusual in this stunning condition with perfectly preserved decoration.
